Technology Operations Lead

**The Role**:
Being an e-commerce business, technology underpins everything we do.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and passionate Technology Operations Lead to join our growing technology team. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will lead the operations of the technology division, acting as the right-hand person to our CTO providing high-level strategic and operational support.

This role will see you managing key relationships with our vendors, playing an important role in our business transformation project and building strong relationships with leaders, peers and other members of the team to create a collaborative and high performing Technology function.

**Core Activities**:

- Support the CTO in leading the operations of the technology division, creating a positive and collaborative work environment for all
- Support the CTO in building and developing a highly effective, engaged, cohesive and united technology function working within the group to enable success
- Play a vital role in a major group wide transformation to become a globally recognised leader in experiences enabled through technology
- Support the CTO in delivering the technological strategy and execute transformational change in place
- Influence stakeholders and Technology team members in embedding a project management culture, managing expectations and priorities of competing business needs
- Defining and implementing resource strategies to ensure effective project delivery
- Oversight and management of vendor and licensing agreements
- Oversight and management of the Technology division budget and key financial metrics, and related documentation
- Oversee the execution and efficacy of the Technology division's ESG agenda and impact
- Fill in gaps in the technology division as necessary; you will be ready to roll up your sleeves and get into the details
- Help with the technology divisions organisational design, team scaling and cross-function problems, working closely with the CTO and functional Leads
- Act as a sounding board for key strategic decisions, take high-level strategic direction, produce concrete output for the rest of the team
- Lead cross-functional strategic and technological projects and planning processes
- Preparing advice and reporting, chairing steercos for CTO including presenting a program or portfolio view of project progress, budget status and risk
- Help interview, hire and onboard top talent into the Technology division
- Support with the facilitation and running of team meetings, stand ups and retrospectives as required

**Experience Required**:

- 4 + years experience in a similar role with experience within the Ecommerce, travel technology or online retail experience being highly regarded
- Excellent knowledge of contemporary project management theory and practice in a Technology, ecommerce or digital environment.
- A professional approach and a willingness to work in a high performing team that values openness and transparency
- Experience in developing and running an agile delivery model
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with the ability to effectively manage time and priorities autonomously
- Good at articulating outcomes to both technical and non-technical people
- Proven ability to review, analyse and interpret data
- Highly developed problem-solving skills with the capacity to think creatively, act strategically, be flexible, establish priorities and work to competing deadlines
- Excellent process improvement skills and a strong attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability in negotiating and convincing stakeholders across multiple teams
- Ability to work in a fast paced, growth focused environment with competing deadlines and priorities with the ability to manage demands with logical outcomes
- Able to lead, develop and motivate a team to optimise performance and deliver organisational objectives
- Experience in the provision of effective strategic support at the senior management level, and managing matters with confidentiality, sensitivity and discretion
- Ability to positively influence outcomes
