**About the Faculty of Business and Economics**
The Faculty is home to the Melbourne Business School, as well ass six teaching and research departments; Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing, and the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research. The Faculty of Business and Economics have about 10,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degrees.
The Bachelor of Commerce is one of the most sought-after business courses in Australia. Graduate programs in business and economics are offered through Melbourne Business School. Melbourne Business School offers a full suite of professional masters programs for those with little work experience right through to the MBA suite. It is also the home of leading research masters degrees and the PhD. Since the Faculty was established it has produced close to 60,000 graduates. Many of our alumni now occupy senior positions in business, government and academia, in Australia and around the world.
**About the Role**
The Faculty Administrative Coordinator is embedded in the Strategy, Planning and Resources (SPR) team and is responsible for the provision of intuitive administrative support to the Faculty’s operational activities as well as the implementation of strategic and business operational initiatives.
The successful applicant will undertake and have exposure to a broad range of administrative tasks including, amongst others, providing administrative and executive support, workforce administration, triaging, escalating and overseeing the resolution of risks with University Support Services providers.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the Faculty with administration of workforce related Performance Development Framework process, academic confirmation and promotion process and remuneration review processes.
- Assist with Faculty workforce administrative services such as Loadings (GFLs), Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFAs), honorary appointments and renewals, independent contractors (ICAs), Special Studies Program (SSP) and recruitment and selection administration support.
- Work with Senior Management to ensure the integration and coordination of a range of Business activities to ensure and enable the smooth running of the Faculty.
**About You**
You are an experienced administrator with a strong understanding of how to appropriately deal with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality. You are able to utilise your initiative, resourcefulness and problem solving skills to work independently, but also have the skills and attributes required to work as an effective part of a collaborative team. Ideally you would have experience in a tertiary education environment, or similar education institute.
You will also have:
- Completion of a relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Excellent organisational skills with an attention to detail to ensure the effective prioritisation, coordination, management and completion of assignments within agreed deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a range of people and to build positive working relationships to deliver timely outcomes.
