Grounds/facilities Assistant

Grounds:
- Assist with the general upkeep of the entire grounds including mowing, edging, weeding, planting, mulching, pruning, and watering;
- Assist with litter and rubbish removal;
- Assist with the periodic cleaning to maintain pathways, hard surfaces, and external stairs in a clean and safe condition;
- Be involved in College events, assist with parking, setting up, and pack down etc.;
- Assist with the movement and set up/pack down of equipment (shade covers, sound system, furniture etc.) for events and classroom set-up;
- Knowledge and skills in using a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of buildings/grounds as well as Work Health & Safety practices highly desirable; and
- Physical ability and dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
Cleaning:
- Responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of college buildings;
- Able to work without supervision and with high attention to detail;
- Ability to cope with the physical demands of the job and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills; and
- Ability to perform tasks of the scheduled cleaning and in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
**Applicants Must**:
- Be a practising Christian who is active in their own church and whole-heartedly subscribe to the Statement of Faith;
- Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement;
- Be eligible to work in Australia; and
- Have a current First Aid certificate and CPR or willing to obtain.
