**About the role**

The Work Health and Safety Advisor is an integral role within the Workplace Health & Safety team, responsible for providing advice and guidance to Independence Australia Group (IAG) to ensure we achieve a high standard of safety, health and wellbeing for our workforce including contractors and volunteers. The position will ensure work areas comply with relevant legislation, policies and best practice safety management, whilst identifying, designing, implementing and evaluating activities and initiatives which minimise risk and prevent injuries
**About you**
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or working towards completing.
- Ideally 5 years' experience in a similar role within Health and Safety teams, preferably in a Human Services and/or Warehouse environment.
- **Previous experience in the community service sector - disability.**:

- Experience with HCMS or Risk Management systems.
- Tertiary qualification(s) in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or other relevant discipline.
