This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

We’re seeking an **Engineering Manager - Cloud Infrastructure** to lead a globally distributed team of senior platform engineers. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping, scaling, and securing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability, resilience, and business continuity for the organisation and its subsidiaries.

This role sits within our **Cybersecurity and Technical Infrastructure group** and combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise. It’s an opportunity to create a lasting impact by driving global cloud strategies, investing in people, and fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead and grow a high-performing team of senior engineers, providing clear direction, coaching, and professional development.
- Drive cloud strategies and roadmaps that ensure security, resilience, and cost-effectiveness, aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee infrastructure design, automation, incident response, and recovery planning with a focus on resilience and business continuity.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders across multiple subsidiaries, balancing technical depth with business value.
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and shared success, while managing team dynamics and conflict resolution with empathy and fairness.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, embedding best practices in cloud security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps/SRE.

**Qualifications** What we’re looking for**
- 10+ years’ experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- Deep technical expertise across AWS, IaC, networking, cloud security, scalability, and resilience planning.
- Proven success as a people leader - you invest in your team, resolve conflicts constructively, and inspire growth.
- Strong understanding of inter-team relations in complex organisations with multiple subsidiaries.
- Commercial acumen and ability to define global strategies and roadmaps that balance risk, resilience, and return on investment.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business value.
