**About the role**

The Records Curator will manage semi-active and inactive records of Council for the purposes of maintaining their proper care, control and disposal at the relevant stages of their life cycles. This includes receiving, actively collecting / recovering, accessioning / registering, preserving, conserving and restoring where necessary to keep or bring records under control in accordance with statutory and corporate requirements. It also includes responsibility for ensuring that records remain readily accessible for both business information needs and meeting public access to information obligations

**Remuneration**

$38,315.83 - $42,914.04 + 11.5% Superannuation prorated to 15 hours per week.

**Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and / or equivalent industry experience
- Expert knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards particularly with respect to the retention, management and disposal of long term records
- Experience with successfully developing and delivering against programs and plans for collections management
- Extensive experience in appraisal, arrangement, description and sentencing of records
- Demonstrated knowledge of the of principles and practices of preservation and conservation of both digital and analogue records
