Moore Australia (VIC) has an exceptional opportunity to take on a leadership role within our Audit & Assurance team.

As a Manager within our Audit and Assurance team you will be a member of the broader leadership group. Working closely with your Directors, you will lead team members in providing exceptional technical advice and guidance to clients across a range of audit and assurance engagements.

You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, playing a key role in ensuring client engagements and day-to-day operations run efficiently, producing high quality outcomes for the clients and the team

This role provides an opportunity to build on your client management skills and your internal management skills, where you will be leading engagements across a breadth of client industries within a talented and established team. As a Manager you will be planning and delegating work to team members with the understanding of their capability and capacity while achieving budgeted targets for the year.

As a Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Designing, preparing and completing audit and assurance engagements for all client entities, including: Individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, Public and Private Companies, Workers Compensation, Real Estate Agents and Solicitors Trust Accounts.
- Collaborating with clients to identify critical project outcomes, work products, barriers to success and changes in expectations or scope.
- Ensuring all compliance and regulatory quality assurance requirements are met.
- Providing training, direction and advice to team members in respect to delivery of quality work
- Working with the Associate Director/s to ensure the smooth running of the Audit and Assurance division via day-to-day and ongoing team management including recruitment, workflow management and resource planning, reviewing timesheets and expenses, ongoing performance development and conflict resolution.
- Understanding and developing industry knowledge, business processes and internal controls.
- Actively working on business development by seeking, identifying and acting on new business opportunities.
- 6 years’ experience in professional services with an emphasis on Audit and Assurance.
- Exposure to larger client groups and sophisticated business structures with multiple entities and technical complexity.
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree.
- Completed professional certification - Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuous personal and professional development, including maintaining the required CPD hours.
- Deep knowledge of and exposure to a range of technical accounting and audit issues.
- Strong ability to build rapport easily with a diverse range of stakeholders (internal and external)
- Demonstrate people management skills, including providing clear direction, training and day-to-day support.
- Strong knowledge of and exposure to the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Strong exposure to accounting software, including but not limited to Caseware, Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
