
Innovation Officer

With this growth comes an exciting new opportunity for an Innovation Officer to join our Innovation Department to help our business expand the product range we offer our customers and improve the processes used within the business. This role would suit someone who is hands-on, creative and an outside-the-box thinker.
**About the role**:
- Research and develop the manufacturing of new products through data collecting, prototyping and testing procedures ensuring all developments achieve a high standard of quality.
- Assist in the enhancement of business processes across all areas to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Conduct comprehensive research by collecting data, prototyping, and conducting testing procedures.
- Accurately collate and analyse data to generate reports and provide valuable insights on ongoing projects and future Innovation Projects.
- Conduct thorough investigations into ad hoc product and process issues. Utilise your problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose efficient and business-oriented solutions.
- Continuously analyse and evaluate existing product and process workflows to identify areas for improvement
- Maintain detailed documentation of all research, development and outcomes.
- Proactively identify recurring issues and develop preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
- Support the training of department leaders and production trainers on products and processes.
- Develop training documentation for products and processes, ensuring clarity and standardisation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to product and process issue resolution.
- Offer remote assistance and support to the AU/US team on all relevant product and process-related issues.
- Proven experience in developing a product from concept to completion.
- Basic knowledge of the operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of troubleshooting processes.
- Excellent Computer Literacy, Excel and Word.
- Experience Identifying areas for improvement and providing effective solutions to complex problems.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and proven testing proficiency.
- Proficiency in numbers, including basic algebra.
- Goal-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and strong time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in teams and autonomously.
- Education in areas such as Six Sigma, Engineering, and Product Development is highly favourable
