**Allied Health Administration Officer**
This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional client experiences. It supports both clinical and administrative functions, acting as the first point of contact for clients and assisting practitioners with day-to-day coordination.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain accurate client records and handle confidential information with discretion
- Process payments, issue invoices, and manage health fund claims (e.g., HICAPS, Medicare)
- Coordinate practitioner schedules and room usage efficiently
- Assist with onboarding new clients, including distributing consent forms and intake documents
- Monitor stock levels of clinic supplies and assist with ordering
- Ensure the reception and treatment areas are tidy, welcoming, and compliant with health standards
- Liaise with referring practitioners and external providers professionally
- Assist with basic reporting and data entry tasks as required
**Skills & Attributes**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software (e.g.,Cliniko, Zanda or similar)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Warm, professional demeanour with a client-first mindset
- Prior experience in allied health or medical administration (preferred but not essential)
**Qualifications**
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration (Medical), Health Services Assistance, or equivalent (desirable)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (optional but valued)
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $32.18 - $36.34 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
