This large Government organisation within the higher education sector is seeking an experienced, motivated and hard working Project Officer.

This is not a task driven role, but a role that requires a high level of critical thinking, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

High level communication skills are key

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Work with cross functional teams and multiple stakeholders to update processes and procedures as part of an ongoing safety project
- Conduct a review of the university hazardous materials register ensuring the register contains the most recent inspection report
- Assist in the documentation, development and implementation of a new Contractor Safety Management software
- Ensure developed processes and procedures reflect system requirements, roles and responsibilities
- Provide operational support, including monitoring project plans, and ensuring required deliverables are provided
- Develop updated safety processes and procedures to reflect changes following system implementation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

**Skills/Experience**Previous experience in a project related role is essentialExperience in safety, facilities, operations or system implementation is beneficial but not essentialProficient in use of the Microsoft Office suite particularly SharePointThrive in managing varying tasks and meeting deadlinesExcellent communication skills both written and verbalStrong attention to detail and highly organisedAbility to work independently and collaborate with the team
- People orientated with an ability to develop strong relationships
