The opportunity
In this position, you will:
- Ensure compliance with provisions of the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act and Regulatory requirements- Provider Payments - ensure swift authorisation and payment of accounts for service providers; Record payments on Claims Management System- Registration and determination of new and ongoing workers compensation claims- Claims management -manage and review a portfolio of claims- Approve claims in accordance with delegated limits and legislation- Fortnightly payroll authorisations- Oversight of the determination of Normal Weekly Earnings (NWE) in accordance with The Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988; Ensure payments are authorised and processed within strict timeframes- Claim review meetings - Prepare up to date summary reports of claims for client which displays effective management- Engaging with diverse stakeholders from medical professionals and service providers to ensure a smooth and solutions focused approach across your portfolio.- Respond to client requests in accordance with service standard- Provide information and feedback on claims activity to the client to enable appropriate actions to be carried out- Developing case management plans that stipulate goals and activities.- Encouraging and monitoring approved treatment and treatment plans- Interpreting and actioning medical and financial reports and managing and instructing investigations and implementing findings in terms of the overall strategy- Managing and negotiating cost effective treatment and rehabilitation in conjunction with the client- Identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims, notify supervisor, arrange investigation and brief solicitors if further action is to be taken- Assist/prepare files for litigation and submit administrative reports as required
Your story so far- You will have undertaken formal training in the provisions of the SRC Act 1988- You will have an insurance background where you have provided a world class customer service experience and have shown passion to grow and develop- The ability to handle multiple and competing tasks to meet customer needs- A highly empathetic approach to dealing with customers, possessing the ability to be friendly yet professional- You will be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
