**About the Opportunity**:
We are currently looking for an Electrical Control Technician to join us at our Pampas manufacturing site located at West Footscray. The Electrical Control Technician is central to the improvement of plant OEE generally across the three plants at West Footscray, with primary responsibilities and requirements to ensure that the plant is operational; safely and with mínimal downtime and waste. The Electrical Control Technician will work closely with maintenance fitters/electricians and operators to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner enabling the achievement of Operational outcomes for the site.
This is a day shift position with a flexible start time between 6.00am and 7.30am.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Identifying and resolving equipment reliability and improvement opportunities Assessing and prioritising breakdown service requirements
- Demonstrate and promote safe work practices
- Demonstrate competency in the areas of planning, organization, and customer focus
- Have a strong commitment to document handling procedures, to ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately in a timely manner
- Support culture of continuous improvement in maintenance across the site
- Contribute to work order planning, capacity planning and work prioritization
- High level of technical and diagnostic skills including fault finding and problem solving
- Compliance to HACCP & audit requirements
- Reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA, Safety policies
- Actively contribute to building an employee led safety culture through own behaviours
- Attend and actively participate in HSE meetings and TBT's
- Regular safety walks and initiate/participate safety discussions
- Proactive approach to Hazard and Incident reporting

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Strong level of fault finding skills
- PLC & HMI programming (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Ability to resolve issues on HMI and Scada systems
- Experience with AC and DC motors and controls including Variable Speed Drives and Servo's
- Understanding of the Machine guarding and Electrical Safety Standards & Regulations. (i.e. AS 60204.1 AS4024)
- Trade Certified
- Computer skills, MS Office Suite, CMMS, Lotus Notes
