**Road Safety Advisor**
**Full Time**
**$102,760.32 per annum, pro rata, inclusive of superannuation guarantee**

**About the role**
This is not a Work Health and Safety position, rather you will have the opportunity to engage and work with Local Governments to build capacity for the planning and delivery of road safety policies, programs and promotions, that will contribute to reducing or prevent death and serious injury on WA’s local roads.
Perfect for someone with the experience and understanding of public health principles and health promotion practices, and also has experience in building relationships with a wide variety of people by utilising their excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Being a Road Safety Advisor for WALGA allows the opportunity to use your research and analytical skills to source evidence-based information, that will support Local Governments in developing holistic road safety activities.
Promoting and showcasing the road safety activity of RoadWise Councils, you will get to share knowledge and learnings across the sector and gain invaluable experience.
- This position involves travel within WA and will require a class ‘C’ Western Australian driver's license._
**About RoadWise**
RoadWise is funded by the Western Australian Government to engage and facilitate the involvement of Local Governments in the delivery of the national and WA road safety strategies.
RoadWise engages RoadWise Councils in strategic and sustainable initiatives towards embedding systems-based approaches to road safety. This happens through activities designed to build the capacity and capability of Local Governments by:
- Providing direct assistance and support to RoadWise Councils,
- Sharing information and facilitating the transfer of knowledge,
- Inspiring and motiving best practice and innovation, and
- Developing sector policy and advocating on behalf of Local Governments and their communities.
