**The Role**
The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) Quality Officer within the AASB Executive and Support Quality team, provides quality management services to Army Aviation Systems Programs Offices (SPO) and Project Offices (PO).

In addition to the AASB Quality Officer providing quality services, the successful applicant will also attend training courses and be provided mentoring in a positive work environment for professional development.

The AASB Quality Officer will also understudy the AASB Quality Manager who is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the AASB Quality Management System (QMS) certified to the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015.

The duties of the APS 6 AASB Quality Officer include:

- Support management of the Quality Audit Schedule, perform quality auditing and contribute to governance activities for AASB to ensure alignment with CASG QMS and AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Develop and/or maintain knowledge of a variety of regulations in order to support AASB QMS.
- Support management and undertake reviews of complex AASB quality assurance and governance Plans and Instructions.
- Support stakeholders with complex Correction Action Requests, Root Cause Analysis and Improvement Requests.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the maturity of the QMS for senior management.

**About our Team**
Located in Brisbane CBD, as part of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), the Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) Executive and Support team are critical enablers of Defence capability by supporting our Systems Program Offices (SPO) and Project Offices (PO) in their delivery of military aviation systems to the Australian Army.

The Executive and Support team have overarching responsibility for Branch Business Management achieved through liaison and coordination with the SPOs and POs, with the goal of continuous improvement to streamline and simplify processes.

Specifically, the Executive and Support team are able to achieve its core function and organisational goals, on behalf of the branch, through six key service areas including Quality Management, Security, Work Health and Safety, Workforce Management, Reserve Management and Commercial Support.
