**Job Description**:
As a Laboratory Technician based in Perth Airport, you will assist management in maintaining SGS’ capability to analyse soil, water and air. In particular, to conduct routine analyses and to deliver quality and timely laboratory results.

Some other responsibilities will be:

- Undertake routine preparations and analysis of soil and water samples.
- Ensure equipment and laboratory is kept clean to avoid contamination, and to protect company assets’.
- Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures.
- Understand and adapt general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
- Perform other duties as directed by your Supervisor.
- Maintain and update skills, qualifications and knowledge through internal, external and on-the-job training/courses to support continuous development and improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in Science or Chemistry.
- Previous experience working within a laboratory environment (Environmental laboratory preferred).
- Flexibility with working hours and tasks.
