The Department of Transport and Planning brings together all transport modes to design, plan, build and operate Victoria's transport system. Our job is to further integrate the transport network and improve the delivery of services to Victorians for simpler, quicker and safer journeys that connect people and places and support Victoria's prosperity and liveability.
**About the Role**:
**About you**:
- Strategic Procurement -Developed strategic procurement practices and overseen the effective planning and implementation of procurement to effectively deliver the program of works and achieve value for money outcomes. Built strong and collaborative partnerships with key suppliers and the Department's Procurement Section.
- Contract and Commercial Management -Managed the effective development of contracts in accordance with DoT systems and guidelines, to achieve successful program outcomes. Has developed and implemented effective contract administration processes and has successfully led the resolution of complex negotiations on commercial and contract matters.
- Innovation and Capability Uplift -Has developed Innovative practices and solutions to procurement, contract and commercial matters. Has developed and delivered capability uplift development programs to optimise resource utilisation which has effectively addressed program risks.
- Risk and Compliance -Implemented monitoring practices to identify risks and strategically managed procurement and contract risk. Has overseen review and audit to ensure compliance with policy has been met.
- Effective People Leadership -Provided effective leadership, people management and support to their team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.
Qualifications and experience
Mandatory
- Demonstrated experience managing supply chain operations
- Extensive contract management experience, including the resolution of complex contractual claim
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in business administration, law, or commerce
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
