Procurement Commercial Lead

**The opportunity**:
Procurement partners with Business Unit stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes that are aligned to Bupa APAC’s (Market Unit) enterprise strategy. A focus of the procurement team is the development of key commercial capabilities across all areas of the business, identifying opportunities, creating value and delivering strategic goals.
- The Procurement Commercial Lead
** (12 month fixed term contract) **will operate across Bupa APAC (Australia and Hong Kong), influencing at senior levels through to the front line. The role will have responsibility for the development and execution of strategic sourcing activities and supporting Business Owners with supplier management activities across a range of spend categories.

**How will I help?**
- Supporting the broader APAC Procurement team and contributing individually to deliver agreed commercial outcomes that include cost reduction to the business budgets, cost avoidance to the business, improved payment terms, improved speed to market, improvements in the customer experience, and improved quality of service to internal stakeholders
- Overall responsibility for delivering supplier source to contract requirements for a designated Business program, demonstrating value attrition and benefits achieved
- Supporting Business Owners with supplier management activities and compliance to supplier management framework processes
- Be an advocate for a robust, transparent and accountable procurement culture and lead by example
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing process in accordance with company process, including stakeholder engagement, strategy development, baseline validation, RFx management, supplier negotiations, contract finalisation and stakeholder interactions during and after the sourcing process

**What do I need?**
- Relevant graduate or post graduate qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Supply Chain Operations, Engineering or Law
- 8 years’ experience in commercial management, from strategy development to execution
- Significant business, commercial and financial acumen
- Extensive experience in leading successful commercial negotiations, with evidence of applied innovative thinking, persuasiveness and negotiation skills, and strategic negotiation planning
- Project management experience, or experience working within a complex project
- Experience in working effectively within a matrix-style organisation including at global level
- A strong understanding of customer experience and customer-centricity principlesProactively takes ownership and acts with integrity to deliver required results
- Outstanding cross-functional stakeholder management, working across organisational structures
- Innovative thinking and a broad knowledge and commercial aptitude to contribute ideas on all aspects of the organisation with the gravitas to influence at the most senior levels
