About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide efficient administrative support to staff and students.
Providing clerical support and reception services including receiving telephone calls and student counter enquiries from students and families to the school and if possible answering queries or where necessary directing these to appropriate areas.
Assistance in managing variations to students timetables including school-based apprenticeships, work experience, off campus activities etc.
Providing First Aid support for Students (First Aid Certificate required or training provided).
Oversee of daily attendance processes including sending SMS messages to parents/caregivers regarding unexplained absences, late arrivals and early departures, school excursions.
Generate Daily attendance report each morning and advise of amendment of attendance records.
Collect and co-ordinate data to determine and document reasons for absence by students chronically absent, monitor student programs and provide information where necessary, liaising with Head of Special Education Program, Guidance Offices, Year Level Co-Ordinators and Deputy Principals to address issues relating to students experiencing problems that prevent their engagement at school.

About You

Promote and contribute to a positive school culture in which there are high expectations for be haviour, respect and safety
Support a learning environment by monitoring student attendance, producing absence reports for senior leaders, and liaising with parents/carers to verify student absences.
Contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the school by providing a high level of administrative support.
