Quantitative Analyst
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing credit risk models and operational management reports across the organisation using statistical methods. Your models will predict losses; exposure defaults to inform and drive credit quality and business objectives.
You will:
- Maintain and refine existing models that accurately estimate the credit risk for the purpose of monthly and year-end provision calculation.- Monitor the performance of the external credit scores utilised by the business and make recommendations regarding their ongoing use, refinement and potential augmentation with other data points.- Stress test the credit portfolio for emerging risks.
You will bring with you 3 to 5 years in a quantitative credit risk role. Your tertiary qualifications in a mathematical field will support your excellent communication, problem solving and written communication skills.
Your background will include:
- Asset finance or financial services as part of your primary role.- Credit risk experience - portfolio management, reporting or modelling.- Experience monitoring scorecards and credit decisioning systems (preferred).- Experience in developing credit risk strategies/policies will be highly regarded.- Strong statistical programming skills using SQL and excel.- An understanding of credit risk models, retail or wholesale, or statistical modelling.
