**The Role**
We have multiple positions for a range of data and collection related skills across a number of teams.

Roles include:

- Supporting the development and implementation of geospatial standards, and participation in GEOINT standards committees and working groups;
- Providing mission-critical support by managing and facilitating access to AGO’s enterprise data. Engaging with mission partners to explore innovative data access mechanisms and system enhancements. Provide timely and accurate advice, and communicate technical issues affecting data mobility between networks, ensuring correct security protocols and processes are applied;
- Develop and implement satellite imagery collection strategies, and contribute to the implementation of highly complex collection activities, including finding innovative new approaches to collection and collection capabilities;
- Using statistics, geographical information systems and programming, develop and implement new analytic tools and methodologies for more efficient use of data;
- Support the development and implementation of AGO’s industry engagement framework, and support senior AGO executives with industry engagements.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. In particular, we are looking for people with skills in at least one of the following areas:

- Experience developing and implementing geospatial data standards;
- Experience managing and facilitating access to large-scale enterprise data management systems, and familiarity with data governance principles, security protocols, and compliance requirements;
- Interest and experience in space-based capabilities, satellite imagery collection and/or intelligence collection;
- Ability to manage, manipulate and analyse data, using data analysis/science, python programming and geospatial information systems to provide evidence-based conclusions; or
- Ability to coordinate industry engagements and conference attendance for senior AGO executives, and the ability to acquire a sound understanding of intelligence capabilities.
