**About our Operations Delivery Team**

The Jetstar Operations Control Centre (JOCC) is the nerve centre of our Australia and New Zealand airline. The team manage the logistics and daily of movement of hundreds of flights on a mixed fleet of aircraft, hundreds of Jetstar crew, tens of thousands of passengers 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

The JOCC consists of team members who specialist in operations, crewing, flight dispatch, customer recovery and aircraft maintenance. Each group use real-time operational information and work collaboratively to maintain schedule integrity and ensure that our customers are delivered safely and timely to their destination.

**About the Opportunity**

As the **Operations Controller** you will maintain a central safety focus, balancing cost, customer and commercial outcomes, whilst ensuring the requirements of key stakeholders are not compromised. You will work to deliver network operations to schedule, anticipate and proactively respond to foreseeable network disruption with a ‘preventative’ approach and immediately triage and respond to unforeseeable network disruption.

This opportunity is available on a 12-month fixed term basis.

**Reporting to the Senior Manager JOCC Operations and Customer, your main responsibilities will include**:

- Provide timely and accurate information and effectively communicate this across JOCC stakeholders
- Monitor aircraft movements, maintaining schedule integrity around on-time performance across AU/NZ domestic and international networks
- Co-ordinate with Maintenance Operations regarding maintenance implications from off-schedule operations
- Effectively co-ordinate operational requirements during disruptions while maintaining regular communication with downline ports.
- Ensure the safety and security of all people, assets, systems and procedures engaged in or associated with the airline through compliance with Jetstar policy & procedures
- Effectively communicate with the Customer Recovery Team regarding customer recovery and customer flow during periods of disruption

**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and**

**experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Aviation / Engineering Management (preferred)
- Minimum +2 years’ experience, knowledge and understanding of airline operations
- An understanding of relevant aviation legislation
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in demanding, time-sensitive environments
- Resilience with the ability to cope well under pressure
- Be motivate and demonstrate a proactive approach to work
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence at all levels
- A high degree of attention to detail
- Intermediate or above proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Word

The successful applicant will be a team player who can demonstrate excellent organisation skills and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal, diplomacy and computer skills are also essential along with the ability to effectively negotiate positive outcomes.
