The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia
You will
- Assist the Physiotherapist in implementing physiotherapy programs and activities and undertake administrative duties to fulfil the requirements of the Physiotherapy Department
- Provide feedback to the Physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team on client performance
- Contribute to the electronic patient record according to organizational guidelines and legal requirements
- Participate in education and training initiatives to achieve enhancement and efficiency in the delivery of quality patient care and / or service
- Maintain accurate electronic scheduling information systems and contribute to activity / outcome data collection as required

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- While not mandatory the following would be well regarded:

- Certificate III and or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Clinical Assistant is desirable
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card - QLD Health will meet the cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
- Permanent part time (38 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $30.99 - $32.58 per hour

The Physiotherapy department works across Robina, Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Health Precinct employing upwards of 100 fulltime equivalent Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants within inpatient, outpatient and community services.
