The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Assist the Physiotherapist in implementing physiotherapy programs and activities and undertake administrative duties to fulfil the requirements of the Physiotherapy Department
- Provide a defined range of treatments and initiate changes to treatment programs as delegated by the Physiotherapist
- Provide feedback to the Physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team on client performance
- Contribute to the electronic patient record according to organizational guidelines and legal requirements

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- While not mandatory a certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is desirable
- Experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Clinical Assistant or Aide would be well regarded
- Blue Card
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (38 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $33.52 - $35.24 per hour

The Physiotherapy department works across Robina Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Health Precinct employing upwards of 100 full time equivalent Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants within inpatient, outpatient and community services.
