**Job Description**:
As our Head of Storage, you will lead the development of the storage business to position Squadron as a market leader at rapid pace. The role will be responsible for identifying, commercialising and executing projects for storage technology and the services it can provide in the energy system.

These projects will be large scale and/or impactful to the energy transition and may include stand-alone projects, portfolios of assets as well as projects to support Squadron’s renewable power and other investments. You will be the key interface with internal and external stakeholders so industry credibility, communication and building trust with stakeholders will be critical.

**In this role you will need to;**
- Build a plan to have a large-scale storage business which positions Squadron to be a market leader
- Develop commercial opportunities and business cases for storage projects
- Identify the possible revenue stacks for stand alone and integrated storage projects to achieve return hurdles
- Procure and deliver and/or acquire storage projects to be operational
- Work with other Squadron Executives, WindLab to develop customers propositions that are unique and add value
- Build strategic partnerships with key players in the storage sector
- Develop a multidisciplinary team to pursue investment opportunities
- Provide technical, operational, and commercial leadership for successful implementation of projects
- Ensure projects meet Tattarang’s indigenous, anti-slavery and local procurement policies
- Manage engagement with key stakeholders and maintain relationships associated with project delivery
- Ensure compliance with legal and statutory responsibilities

**The Head of Storage is expected to build a lean team of talented staff to support the development of a storage business.**

**Qualifications**:

- Engineering degree desirable
- An MBA would be desirable

**To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to;**
- Recognised leader in the storage sector
- Deep understanding of Australia’s energy system and its evolution to renewables
- Extensive commercial and investment experience in the energy sector
- Experienced in identifying and negotiating contracts for energy assets including storage
- Understanding of technology and policy trends and its impact on storage
- Maintains a broad network of contacts through the renewable industry’s business segments of generation, networks, construction, asset management, regulation, and government
- Strong management & leadership skills
- Solution focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced role
