**About the role**

The role of the HRBP is to understand the opportunities, challenges and complexities of their regional portfolio and provide strategic and operational HR support. This will look like partnering with key stakeholders to build capability in their workforce, training and development, day to day HR activities, projects, and cyclical HR.

Supported by specialists across the HR sphere and their team members, the HR Business Partner must rely on their expertise as an HR Generalist to provide trusted advice to their stakeholders, whilst leveraging on the wider HR function to provide specialist resources in order to enhance the functionality and success of their specific business unit.

**About you**
To be successful in this position, you will be able to:

- Demonstrate your experience building trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate your expertise across the full HR Generalist remit in a Senior HR Advisor, HR Consultant or HR BP capacity in areas such as Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Capability Building and Succession Planning, Projects, and cyclical HR.
- Demonstrate your experience in delivering end to end strategic HR objectives across your business unit.
- Travel across the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region at least once a week.

You will ideally have:

- Qualifications in HR, Commerce or Business (majoring in HR) and at least 3-5 years experience in the above capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of systems, data and reporting.
- The appetite to work in a dynamic, complex and future focused organisation.
- Teamwork and collaboration ingrained in your professional persona.
- Your own car.
