**Your new role**

The Curtin University Medical Centre provides comprehensive general practice patient care which includes management of all health problems including mental health, nutritional advice, nursing care and help with accidents and sudden illness on campus.

The Centre has a new and exciting opportunity for a Casual Medical Receptionist on an ongoing basis working Monday to Friday. Your daily responsibilities include welcoming patients, assisting with appointment bookings, patient billing and payments, administrative support with regarding to telephone and personal enquiries, maintenance of patient files, ordering of office and medical centre consumables and providing support to our team of General Practitioners.

To be successful in this role:

- Completion of Year 12, with relevant work experience in a medical, specialist or general health environment
- Proven ability to process accounts for payment, perform financial reconciliations and general banking duties
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, including the ability to display cross-cultural sensitivity
- Demonstrated ability to accurately create and maintain records
- Proven confident usage of Microsoft Office Suite
- Medical reception experience and experience in using medical computer software (desirable)

As this is a continuing Casual role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
