Deputy Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Service Manager (must be a division 1 Nurse with a current registration with AHPRA) for a permanent full time position at our Elizabeth Gates, Singleton service. You will ideally have a minimum of 5 years experience in aged care.

**Elizabeth Gates** - nestled in the peaceful rural township of the Hunter Valley region, a welcoming aged care home in an intimate community of 35 residents.

**Alroy House**:

- With 2 separate households, each with between 24-25 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

**What do we need you to do?**

You will have the proven ability to lead and coordinate service strategies in functional areas that include:

- Working for the continuous improvement of our service in line with Accreditation Standards
- Facilitating the development of your team to uphold the unique needs of each client
- Assigning work allocations to team members based on their skills and abilities.
- Advocating with and for our clients and their families to enable choice and decision making that supports independence
- Interpreting audits and data, identify trends, provide advice, and implement improvement initiatives
- Maintaining clinical governance and overseeing the clinical staff to maintain compliance and clinical care
- Meet KPIs with excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ensure high quality resident care is consistently delivered through out the facility including updating of care plans, wound reviews and medication overview

**What do we need you to bring?**
- You will have a minimum 5 years previous experience in aged or community care but if you have extensive experience in Social Services, Management or Human Services and have worked within a similar role, we’d love to hear from you too.
- We are looking for someone who has a good insight into the changes occurring within the Age Care Sector
- We are also looking for someone who has an extensive knowledge of AN-ACC
- Experience in providing clinical expertise to staff and residents
- Must be a division 1 Nurse with a current registration with AHPRA.
- Human resource management and conflict resolution skills
- Extensive problem solving skills and mentoring abilities
- Strong communications skills and experience with complex personalities
- Demonstrate the ability to identify gaps and concerns, to then be able to implement strategies and actions
