**About the role**:
As part of the management team, your primary responsibilities will be leading and supporting a team of credit analysts.
You will be required to help your team meet their personal and overall objectives, develop their credit knowledge and increase team cohesion and work together to maintain and exceed SLA's. All whilst ensuring our high standards of customer service continues to be met.
**The job**:
- Approval of recommended files, involving providing ongoing feedback and coaching to credit analysts
- Provide regular support to Credit Analysts with credit scenarios and escalations from customers or external stakeholders
- Facilitate team meetings and fortnightly one of one's with staff
- Driving team engagement and fostering our unique culture
- Ongoing communication & collaboration with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvements across processes, systems, and enhance communication across business divisions
- Conduct Audits and provide appropriate feedback to employees
- Ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures to ensure a high level of credit quality is achieved and maintained
- Work closely with Lending Operations Manager to build a solid risk framework and credit policies.
**Role Requirements**:
- Prior experience in a Credit Assessment role (minimum of 4 years) with strong emphasis in assessment of Self-employed, Trust and PAYG (held a DLA minimum $1Million)
- Strong people management with experience leading a team preferably from non-bank sector
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to an agile environment
- A fluid approach to negotiating, decision making and relationship building
- Ability to effectively manage workloads, meet business goals and lead a team of individuals
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Degree in finance related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of all relevant regulatory requirements
