**The Service**
**KU Union Children’s Centre **, an exceeding rated service, is located on the edge of Sydney University and within walking distance from Redfern Station.
Our service is a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences - including art, craft, literacy, numeracy, music, dance, song, games, stories & cooking.
KU Union proudly have a special interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture. This is incorporated into our program through commemorating Sorry Day, celebrating Reconciliation week and NAIDOC and by inviting aboriginal community members to come to our centre to talk to the children.
We are looking for a Diploma Qualified educator to work in our
Preschool Room. This position will see you work a rotational roster, **Monday to Friday 8 hours per day, between the hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm.**
**To be considered for this role, it is essential you have**:
- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- A recognised Diploma level of qualification in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A current First Aid certificate with separate Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training
- Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
