Metcash is looking for our next Group Head of Performance & Reward to help us realise our ambition of being A Favourite Place to Work through reward and performance management strategies, policies, and practices. You will be accountable for Metcash’s reward and performance management strategy design, implementation, and governance.

**What you’ll do**
- Be accountable for our reward and performance management design, systems and procedures, including benchmarking, job evaluation, salary bands, STI frameworks, forecasting and distribution of STI pools, issuing and performance testing of LTI grants, and employee benefits.
- Provide expert advice to the People & Culture team and business leaders on all aspects of remuneration incorporating recognition and benefits.
- Partner with our People & Culture Business Partners to assist with the planning and facilitation of the performance and remuneration management cycle of events, ensuring tools are fit for purpose and the business is well prepared for managing the processes.
- Prepare and deliver reward and performance papers for the Board.
- Develop the Remuneration report in collaboration with the Chief People & Culture Officer and Board Directors.
- Work with key third parties to ensure data is sourced for the annual cycle of events to run smoothly and to address any Board-directed requests.

**What you’ll bring**
- A proven track record in reward and performance management preferably in complex organisations
- Experience in leading a Reward and Performance Management Centre of Excellence
- Has the gravitas to influence senior leaders and other P&C practitioners.
- Experience at drafting and presenting Board papers.
- A deep technical expertise in remuneration and performance management processes
- Experience with M&A - due diligence and integration
- A deep technical expertise in remuneration governance and reporting, including the drafting of Remuneration Reports
- Strong working knowledge of job evaluation
- HRIS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors)
