**Job Description Summary**: An opportunity for a Product Manager to join our team and make genuine impact with our peripheral interventional customers.
Our Peripheral Intervention business offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, and end-stage kidney disease and maintenance, that are utilised daily by Interventional Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons to improve patient outcomes.
In this role, you will have ownership of the peripheral arterial disease portfolio and work closely with the Snr. Product Manager for venous/end stage kidney disease to deliver overall business objectives. You will also be responsible for driving professional education for the business in collaboration with other key stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**:
- Achieve short and long-term business objectives for PI, ensuring that sales and gross profit targets are achieved annually.
- Influence the development and drive the execution of functional, product line or platform marketing plans and provides significant input into product line-related business decisions and resource planning.
- Develop local marketing strategies and tactics for review and approval.
- Play a critical role in key projects/initiatives, often leading project/initiative teams, providing strategic marketing representation.
- Implement the agreed sales and marketing tactics to develop maximum market share, sales and profit growth in line with overall country plan objectives, ensuring that internal customers understand and are committed to their successful implementation and evaluation.
- Manage a formal marketing expense budget.
- Direct the preparation of all aspects of the marketing process including, market research, advertising promotion, distribution, pricing and selling strategies, where appropriate.
- Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve common objectives.
- Preparation of tenders and contracts in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Tenders and Contracts Management.
- Maintain a standard of excellence in product knowledge with key customer facing groups including the sales team, sales management team, customer service and external customers.
- Build positive working relationships with key external and internal customers, working cross-functionally with Sales Account Managers, Sales Managers, Customer Service, Inventory Planners, Finance, Regulatory and other BD marketing teams to achieve objectives. Actively participate in relevant BD world-wide and regional marketing team meetings.
- Identifies key opinion leaders and responsible for lobbying with Public and Private organizations to increase awareness of product range. Strong credibility is required.
- In conjunction with demand planners, maintain appropriate inventory levels and product forecasting and involvement in S&OP processes.
- Responsible for, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and Business Director, management of the quarterly financial forecasting and annual budgeting for the assigned product portfolios.
- Demonstrates marketing expertise through specific and advanced set of skills and knowledge, e.g. branding, product development, forecasting. May contribute to worldwide product planning and strategy.
- Other related tasks at the discretion of management.
**Knowledge and Experience**:
- Must have >3 years prior medical device marketing experience.
- Must have tertiary qualifications in science, business or related disciplines, or relevant work experience in commercial roles.
- Must be a team player and a strong collaborator.
- Previous experience in endovascular surgery preferred.
- Must be enthusiastic, willing to take on new challenges and have a desire to grow and develop whilst demonstrating strong business acumen skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to influence and motivate others over whom they have no direct control or authority.
- Self-starter able to prioritise and smoothly manage multiple tasks.
- Sound computer skills required, particularly spreadsheets, presentations, databases and word processing.
