About the Role
The Head of Consumer Cards is a crucial role for Consumer Cards and Personal Loans (CCPL) business, leading the growth and development of CCPL, EDB and Retail products across Australia, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.
The role will provide strategic direction to the product roadmap, grow and manage financial performance and drive key initiatives - collaborating closely with internal teams and key stakeholders to execute on strategic & tactical priorities.
The Head of Consumer Cards role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy for our consumer credit cards, aligned with our overall business objectives. The role will drive continuous improvement in the customer value proposition to deliver key commercial outcomes and profitable growth.
The role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product development lifecycle of the consumer cards product suite, from conceptualization to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, digital, credit risk, technology, legal and risk management to deliver exceptional products

What will your day look like?
As Head of Consumer Cards, your accountabilities are the following:
Develop a clear Product vision and strategy over a short, medium and long-term horizon, broken down into annual product development roadmaps
Key responsibility for developing both short and long-term product plans, value propositions including customer journeys, pricing models, partner agreements and product roadmaps.
Managing the overall Product commercials across value and rewards cards while developing individual product strategies for each vertical which roll into a cohesive overall position for consumer credit cards.
Understand performance of current products, manage product P&L performance to collaborate with key stakeholders on developing initiatives to improve overall profitability.
Monitor market trends for the development of new products, features and benefits (considering the competitive context, strategic capabilities, customer desirability and the ability to execute strongly driving long-term, sustainable growth).
Translation of the product strategies into core value proposition and tangible annual roadmaps, priorities, and tactical initiatives
Develop, plan and execute revenue generating actions and investments to protect and grow revenues on a continuous basis.
- Delivering against financial results set in annual operating plans and objectives.
Ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization while maintaining high-quality standards
Build, lead and develop a high performing team culture to deliver KPIs and revenue targets for the CCPL business.
Provide leadership in guiding cross functional teams and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve product objectives.
Identify, evaluate and prioritize business cases for new business and product opportunities, and build business models to deliver sustainable business growth.
Manage and coordinate with all stakeholders in the development and timely delivery of agreed product roadmaps.
Be a champion for voice of customer to deliver customer value.

- Strong experience in product P&L management and demonstrated ability to drive financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, capable of using market research and customer insights to drive product enhancements
- Experience in managing an entire product lifecycle from concept to launch & end of life, ensuring timely execution and continuous improvement
