In the role of Care Manager, you will be an advocate for clinical excellence and be willing to ensure a homely and loving environment by providing care with compassion, integrity and dignity.
Reporting to and working closely with the Centre Manager, this position is an opportunity to demonstrate and develop your people management skills in a senior clinical role.
The position will also hold accountability for, and consideration of the budgetary, continuous improvement, statuary requirements and human resource needs of the organisation.
To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:
- An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote, support and model the values and ethos of The Salvation Army and to facilitate pastoral support where required
- Previous experience in a clinical management role, Aged Care experience preferred
- Understanding of Aged Care legislation and industry accreditation standards
- Knowledge of ACFI and experience in optimising funding relevant to resident care needs
- Ability to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders including residents, families and staff as well as external
- Hands on leader with a “can do” attitude - willingness and ability to lead by example
- Passionate, resilient and proactive leader
- Demonstrated excellent clinical expertise - be an advocate for clinical excellence and promote continuous improvement
- Ability to be multi-task, work under pressure and be part of a team
- Current unrestricted registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
- Ability to identify training needs and deliver customised training
- Auditing skills and attention to detail
- National NDIS Workers Screening Check
