**Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to join their team on a long term contract**
The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
- Creating, monitoring, and analysing the Program schedule.
- Working with Program teams to develop their schedules and ensure the Program Integrated Master Schedule is aligned.
- Tracking, analysing, and reporting on project schedules and tasks to support the Program teams to manage their projects.
- Monitoring projects and program progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.
- Tracking baselines, performing what-if analysis, and developing contingency plans.
- Working across Program teams to identify schedule related interdependencies and issues, and with the project managers to reach resolution.
- Ensuring tasks incorporated into the integrated schedule meet the following requirements:
- Clearly defined dependencies, critical path, float, task duration and task effort for all tasks to be carried out by projects
- Critical path and key milestones are identified and actively managed.
- Monitoring the critical path and communicating any concerns relating to the achievement of critical path milestones to the Program Management Office (PMO) Manager as soon as practicable.
- Ensuring that any re-baselining of the integrated schedule is completed in consultation and by direction from the PMO Manager.
- Ensuring alignment of between Master Schedule and Agile Project Management tools used by the program
- Working with the Program Risk and Issues Manager to understand and assess impacts of risks and issues on the schedule.
- Conducting assessment of impact to schedule required for change proposals.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of executive Roadmap views of the Program schedules
Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to Program staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the department's recordkeeping policy and practices.
The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Creating and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule for the program.
- Creating and maintaining a critical path/ milestone view/ high level schedule view for Program and executive reporting as required.
- Demonstrated experience with a strong track record in scheduling ICT projects using contemporary project management methodologies and producing quality and accurate reports in schedule related project status
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to improve process and service delivery and achieve results
- Certification or formal training in project management scheduling best practice methodologies, with demonstrated skills and experience in using contemporary project management methodologies
- Proficiency in the use of MS Project and Jira
**Desirable Experience**
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision (orally, written and presentational) with proven facilitation, influencing, negotiation and strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen
- Strong communication and liaison skills including report writing experience and the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships
