We are seeking for a highly motivated skilled Bookkeeper/office all-rounder to drive our accounts department whilst juggling other day-to-day tasks as necessary.
**THE ROLE**
Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company including purchases, sales, receipt and payments and to reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
In addition, you will have a sound understanding of payroll including on boarding and terminations and be able to carry out all functions of the payroll process.
**Responsibilities**
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Complete tax forms
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
- Adhoc office administration as required including monitoring and ordering of fuel, paying rent, organising building maintenance, management of company fleet vehicles, debt collection, management of insurances just to name a few.
**KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Accurate data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in clear English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

- Living in Australia with working rights (The position is in Tullamarine, Melbourne)
- You must be able to show that you are fully vaccinated for Covid-19 as far as you are eligible.
- You will be detail-oriented, organized and proficient in bookkeeping software.
- You can prioritize and meet deadlines.
- You are trustworthy, reliable and honest as you will be privy to confidential information.
- You are a team-player and can hit the road running.
- You have above average written and verbal communication skills to be able to work cohesively with colleagues, external professionals, customers, suppliers and service providers.
