Position Purpose

As a Maintenance coordinator, the role encompasses enhancing workforce productivity and ensuring high-quality outcomes. This is achieved by foreseeing and mitigating potential disruptions through meticulous planning, coordinating labour, ensuring the timely availability of parts and materials, and organizing equipment access.

Areas of Responsibility
- Render better service to operations by performing most important jobs first, in consultation with Engineering manager
- Provide admin support to operations through maintenance planner
- Coordinate tasks of the maintenance team, including fitters, electricians, and external contractors, ensuring the reliability and proper functioning of all site facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate the task of on-site contractors, overseeing their recruitment, induction, and daily activities.
- Coordinate access to plant with planning & production functions. Defend the plan against last minute change requests.
- Permit accurate forecasting of labour and material needs
- Communicate immediate recognition of labour shortages and excesses to Engineering manger
- Develop & monitor CMMS including corrective & preventative maintenance, equipment spares, stores & purchasing, and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience Required
- Mechanical Trade Qualification preferred but not required.
- Maintenance System experience is required. (MEX Maintenance Software or McMain System experience).
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and internet search abilities in order to accurately source & identify components
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Time Management, organisational and multi-taking skills
- Ability to show initiative and be proactive
