The opportunity:
AIA Australia is seeking a seasoned Digital Product Owner to join their fun and friendly Melbourne based Health Insurance team. This exciting key role will see you delivering leading customer experiences and end-to-end product management of the Health Insurance website, mobile app and oversee launching exciting new-to-market initiatives across multiple Health specific sales channels.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital you will drive the delivery of strategic initiatives for the business. You will lead with a customer first approach, be commercially minded, have a natural analytical way of thinking, and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. This role works with the technology delivery team to execute the goals defined by the business. Recruiting now for an immediate start.

To do this successfully you will:

- Responsible for delivery (including appropriate analysis, design, build and implementation) of projects and enhancements relating to digital technologies within time & budget
- Ensure effective management, prioritisation, standards and roadmaps are in place for marketing digital products / platforms
- Plan out digital product roadmaps in line with overall strategy, with the aim of releasing high quality and innovative products, features and enhancements.
- Partnering with Health business stakeholders and Senior Manager of Digital to build and maintain the backlog - adjusting any long-term expectations such as release plans
- Champion for the customer by collaborating with the UX team to develop user stories, wireframes and workflows.
- Create detailed product specifications in line with business needs, UI/UX and prioritise the efforts of the development team, whether internal IT or a third-party developer.
- Manage end to end testing with regards to managing users, feedback and delivery; and performing functionality testing.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of your digital product to ensure that deliverables meet project timelines and requirements and to ensure that the direction for the product is in synch with overall direction for the channel. Be able to drive project management of your product if needed.
- Track and measure the success of tests and digital product launches and perform post launch evaluations using a range of analytics platforms
- Experienced digital, business analyst or technology experience, preferably with a background in insurance/financial services or other related industries
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in technology or related discipline
- Strong digital product knowledge with proven experience in development and management of successful digital, web and portal products.
- Solid understanding of analytics tools to generate insights to support solutions
- Solid background in digital software as required for your portfolio.
- Experience leading projects and initiatives with digital technology dependencies
- Relevant experience in digital technologies including but not limited to eCommerce, content management, digital analytics, digital asset management and analytics
- Strong intellectual capacity, and planning skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse global stakeholders using digital channels
- Extensive experience with delivery of digital product technology initiatives with a clear link to commercial / consumer benefits
- Highly developed communication skills
