Digital Product Owner

**About the role**

This role is responsible for the Direct Booking Experience and continuous delivery within Jetstar Customer & Commercial. You will be responsible for maximising business value of our digital development and experience efforts by defining, designing and prioritising digital product features and improvements that best align with business priorities whilst ensuring a world class customer experience.

**Reporting to the Senior Product Lead - Sales, your main accountabilities will include**:

- Set up and refine bundle offering in local system
- Working with users and stakeholders to formulate requirements for set up and business process for later hand off as part of BAU (Ancil, airports, contact centre)
- Working with downstream users to formulate training documentation for later hand off as part of BAU (Ancil, Airports and Contact Centre)
- Ensuring users have suitable test cases to be able to test new features, acting on feedback given and adjusting system accordingly
- Acting as the conduit between JQ and the Vendor (Navitaire) to ensure new approach fits business practices and find efficiencies from provided out of the box features
- Formulating user stories for development team
- Testing new features developed and approving this into production
- Work with developers and tech leads to ensure that the technical solution meets the best outcome for the business and customer
- Ensure risks are identified, communicated and mitigated
- Manage cross squad dependencies (working closely with the app team)
- Responsible for project and continuous delivery of enhancements
- Responsible for ensuring resource needs are met for the project
- Prioritising and communicating development & progress of features / solution which align to business and customer need
- Using project management methodologies and product methodologies to manage the day to day of the development team (Scrum / agile)
- At the same time manage the existing backlog and deliver business case benefits
- Prioritising and managing features for A/B testing
- Working with external vendors when required to oversee other business case deliverables
- Work with UX and customers to ensure that business and user needs are met and the product is best in class
- Prioritise any defects / fixes high priority issues as part of BAU
- Complete workshops with development team and stakeholders as required
- Run scrum ceremonies

**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience**:

- 5 years in a Product Owner role or similar (e.g. senior BA/Producer, Channel Manager) in the online/digital space
- Strong product management, design and analysis understanding
- Strong commercial acumen
- Aviation or Travel industry experience
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially working as a product owner
- Scrum product owner certification or similar highly regarded
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent project leadership, risk and time management skills
- Good attention to detail and superior communication skills
- Proven interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex thoughts and ideas clearly to a variety of audiences
- Strong drive, initiative, ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
