Beaumont People are proud to be partnering with a State Government department to help recruit a skilled AO5 Procurement Advisor on a 12-month contract (with the possibility of extending for another 12 months).

This position will provide procurement support throughout the South Coast Region for Infrastructure and Goods and Services procurement.

Responsibilities for the role include:

- Ensuring compliance with relevant Department Policies and Procedures when undertaking procurement activities for infrastructure and goods and services in the South Coast Region.
- Handling end-to-end procurement activities such as procurement planning, document and contract preparation, evaluation, supplier negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
- Offering guidance to Project Managers regarding Contract Management, Supplier Relationship, and Supplier Negotiation Matters.
- Creating procurement capability in the Region by devising, sourcing, and delivering training for Project Managers and Support Officers.
- Advocating best practices in procurement procedures and demonstrating an in-depth understanding of procurement legislation and policies.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, providing ad hoc procurement advice, and being responsive to change.

The selection criteria include:

- Prior experience in Government, highly preferred.
- Experience in Infrastructure or Goods and Services procurement, highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement, essential.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

Mandatory requirements:

- Must hold a current drivers license
- Be willing to complete a criminal history check
