The Warehouse/Yard/Sales Associate’s primary responsibility is to accurately and safely move product within a yard, store, or
warehouse, support the team in meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations of service delivery and assist
customers directly, including transact sales.

General Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRA’s):

- Performs material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, loading and unloading;
- Handles inbound material receiving and allocation to a yard, store, or warehouse;
- Accurately loads vehicles for outgoing deliveries;
- Checks stock levels and notify appropriate supervisor when minimum stock levels are reached;
- Reports all damage and/or loss of stock;
- Builds product knowledge;
- Co-operates with other departments and work locations to fulfil customer orders;
- Completes work orders and receiving documents accurately;
- Works with team to ensure branch success and provides excellent customer service;
- Assists with customer enquiries;
- Operates point of sale (POS) system to transact sales;
- Assists in maintaining warehouse equipment;
- Operates a forklift;
- Rotates yard stock.

Technical Expertise / Education Required:

- Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with mínimal supervision;
- Team-player;
- Experience with building materials a plus;
- Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse/yard position desirable, but not essential;
- Forklift experience highly desired;
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions.
