Technology Sourcing Manager

Melbourne City Centre, Australia HAYS Full time

An award-winning start-up in finance are seeking a technology sourcing professional to join their team.

**Your new company**

Our client are a financial services organisation who are new to the market but are already award-winning from an employee value proposition perspective, who are in the midst of maturing their procurement function as they rapidly expand.

Already being one of the fastest growing new banks in the world and with a clear value proposition and pathway to further growth, this is a fantastic opportunity for an established technology procurement professional to contribute within a greenfield procurement environment, and be the key point of reference for all strategic procurement activities with an IT focus.

**Your new role**

Something that doesn't come around too often, this is the rare opportunity for a senior procurement professional, that provides the ability to work on larger-scale procurements, deal with tier one vendors/suppliers, and also feel part of a start-up culture, where procurement is building maturity and buy in from the business day in, day out.

Reporting to a leader with a well-developed background working with major corporates both within Australia and overseas, you will play a key role, leading all strategic sourcing events over the full suite of technology spend - acting as an embedded business partner to the ICT function as well as all other stakeholders across the business.

Key roles and responsibilities:

- Lead and conduct technology sourcing, tender and negotiation activity to deliver value-driven outcomes with consideration for risk and regulatory considerations
- Contribute to the evolution of procurement policy and process, and the broader procurement strategy, working in conjunction with the Head of procurement
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels to raise the profile of procurement internally and ensure procurement acts in a manner that is aligned with broader business objectives

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll have a demonstrated history (5+ years) leading major sourcing projects as well as BAU sourcing activities - with exposure to a broad variety of technology spend, across hardware, software and services. You will be confident working autonomously, though will be able to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, to ensure the procurement strategy is aligned with broader business needs.

Financial services experience and APRA prudential regulations exposure would be beneficial but non-essential, though you must have an appreciation for appropriate governance and compliance within the procurement process.

**What you'll get in return**

This is a rare, permanent opportunity working across a pure technology portfolio, where you will have the opportunity to be a key contributor to a developing procurement function - and be counted on to work on business critical sourcing processes.

You will be paid an attractive salary of $170k + super and work 2 days per week in the CBD office. The organisation also offers a host of other benefits, including 6 weeks of annual leave per year, a yearly happiness allowance, education assistance and a truly flexible arrangement.

**What you need to do now**

If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
