**Position Information**:
Woonona High School (P4) provides excellent secondary education for over 900 students from Year 7 to Year 12 including high quality personalised learning for students in the recently established Support Unit. School planning, communication and pedagogical practices focus the efforts of the whole school community on student success. Staff operate within a professional learning culture underpinned by student-centred, research-informed, innovative teaching practice and holistic approaches to student wellbeing. The school enjoys its relationship with its community of schools, a supportive parent body and the University of Wollongong. Amongst the student population are 6% with an Aboriginal background and 7% language background other than English (LBOTE).

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach Japanese in a secondary 7-12 setting and approval and/or willingness to teach junior History and Geography.
- Capacity to deliver effective, engaging and differentiated teaching and learning programs to meet a diverse range of student learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with students, staff and the school community.
- Proven high-level organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capacity to integrate future focus and technology into effective daily classroom practice.
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver programs and initiatives that have had a positive impact on all students
