**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity available within our Group Support Services division for a Procurement Business Partner to join our team at either our Kingsford or Adelaide location.

This role will report to the Contracts and Procurement Manager and will support the procurement strategy to ensure business units meet ongoing production and construction requirements. The Procurement Business Partner will be able to cost effectively conduct strategic procurement activities and look for synergies and efficiencies across the business through spend analysis and reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the Groups procurement process in collaboration with the Procurement & Contracts Manager;
- Maintain a product/procurement list, contract register and drawings data base and ensure these are always accurate and up-to-date;
- Contribute to further development of the company’s procurement process and procedures;
- Analyse and gather data on domestic and international suppliers to ensure competitive cost, product quality and delivery reliability;
- Analysis and reporting of supplier performance, supply chain risks and procurement activities;
- Continuous research and insights on supply chain and industry; Demonstrate an ability to negotiate with key suppliers to ensure cost effective and overall value to the business.

**Customer and Communication**
- Foster a business partnering approach with key internal stakeholders and provide advice on the initiation, execution, reporting and performance of procurement and tendering activities so as to develop innovative procurement strategies to achieve value for money and best practice principles.
- Liaise with current and potential suppliers to understand current and future capacity to deliver; and establish tools to manage inventory needs.
- Work closely with the Ahrens divisions to ensure coordination of product and material data and drawings;
- Create relationships and intel on supply chain and industry to assist in managing group procurement pressures; Establish performance reporting methods, and resolve any quality and delivery issues with suppliers.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in a purchasing environment, with some time in a purchasing role in the Manufacturing and Infrastructure industries;
- Knowledge of supply chain processes;
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to a schedule and meet deadlines; Ability to drive procurement outcomes and collaborate with divisions to seek solutions
