**AN EXCITING NEW PROJECT IN THE GOSFORD AREA- NOW RECRUITING DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS**

Pegasus Care is excited to announce a new Supported Independent Living project in the Gosford Area and we are looking at recruiting Disability Support staff who have a range of skills willing to work in a variety of settings to utilise and build on their specific skill base to work with us.

The role requires staff to be available to work a 24/7 roster which will include weekend and public holidays, and, **may include night shift/sleepover shifts.** **To ensure the smooth running of the Service, staff will need to commit to a **_**minimum of 30hpw**_

You will need well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a Team as well as family members, you will need good communication _(both written and verbal)_ skills and the ability to follow the routines and protocols in the setting in which you work.

**The successful applicant must be able to show experience in some or all of the following:

- **
- Previous sector experience
- Willing to assist with Personal Care as required.
- Managing Challenging Behaviour and Behaviour Support
- Experience understanding Mental Health supports
- Provision of Community Access.
- Implementation of Individual Goals, Plans, Routines
- Friendly, Personable and motivational
- Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries
- 100 points of ID
- The right to work in Australia
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Work (or similar)
- NDIS Worker Clearance Certificate.
- Completed NDIS Worker Induction Module - Quality, Safety & You
- Completed NDIS Mealtime Management Training
- Vaccination evidence - covid19
- Medication Administration
- Infection Control Training - COVID-19 Certificate
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- NSW Drivers Licence, a Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
- Provide evidence of vehicle registration
