Job Description:
Position Summary

The Workshop Technician (Engineering) will provide support to Engineering department for compliance verification, testing and development work on Genie elevating work platforms.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with compliance verification, testing and development work on Genie elevating work platforms.
- Assist with development, fabrication, installation and documentation of local modifications and tooling for Genie elevating work platforms.
- Investigate, record, report and suggest new methods of completing jobs to improve efficiency and reliability of components.
- Use hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices are used and work areas are hazard free.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

Position Qualifications

**Qualifications**:

- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Current Driver’s License
- Forklift license
- High risk work license (desirable not essential)

Experience
- Experience in service work on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of elevating work platforms or mobile equipment (desirable not essential)
- Welding and light fabrication (desirable not essential)

**Skills**:

- The ability to perform troubleshooting and repair work on machinery.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other team members.
- Good problem solving and communication skills.
- The ability to work unsupervised.
- A good understanding of computer systems.
