**About the Business**
The Workforce Development and Integrity Division plays a critical role in building capable, inclusive, and high-performing workforce across the Department of Human Services (DHS), and by extension, supporting the delivery of safe, trusted services to the South Australian community. The division provides strategic and operational workforce services internally across DHS, while also contributing to broader public safety and integrity through the provision of screening services. It brings together four key directorates, each instrumental in strengthening our people, culture, and governance.
**Role Details**
The Legal Officer is a role within the Screening Unit, Workforce Development and Integrity and is accountable to the Manager, Policy for:
- preparing documentation for the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) where Screening Unit decisions are appealed
- conducting legal and policy research as required
- assisting with the development of Screening Unit policies and procedures
- drafting responses to Screening Unit inbox enquiries.

**Essential Qualifications**
Tertiary qualification in law.

**Salary Range**:$67,693-77,494
