Vigneron and Assistant Winemaker

Eldridge Estate is a family owned, small vineyard and winery (8 acres) located in Red Hill, Victoria, established in 1985. Our aim is to produce premium Pinot, Chardonnay and Gamay wines. We have a project in place to replant and expand a significant part of the vineyard.
Our current winemaker has to unfortunately return to her home country, so this is a great opportunity for a highly motivated vigneron, willing to work in a beautiful vineyard and a very well-equipped winery.
Key tasks include:
- Management of both the vineyard and the winery, including record keeping.
- Participate in all daily vineyard activities (including pruning, shoot thinning, de-suckering, fruit picking, etc).
- Manage all winemaking activities during harvest season - fruit receival, fruit sorting, processing, fermentation monitoring, barrel management.
- Basic laboratory analysis.
- Wine stabilisation and bottling management with contractor.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role of responsibility.
- Viticulture or Winemaking degree from any country.
- Honesty, integrity, work ethic, take initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication and organizational skills, enjoy teamwork.
- Valid Driver’s license in Australia, good driving skills
- Some experience in tractor operation
- Current forklift licence.
Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid existing Australian work visa.
