We are currently recruiting for Fulltime and Casual Theatre Attendants to work at QLD Children's Hospital in South Brisbane - Join a team where what you do every day, makes a difference

**The Position**:

- Working in a close-knit team in theatres to support with preparation before, during and after surgeries.
- Transfer patients, specimens, equipment or documents between a variety of departments within the hospital
- Providing theatre assistance including the preparation of operating rooms before surgery
- Cleaning and preparing the theatre for the next surgery, &restocking of supplies and equipment
- Infection Control and maintain occupational health and safety compliance
- Working on a rotating roster with shifts across Monday-Sunday between the hours of 7am-11:30pm.

**About you**:

- Previous experience working within a hospital environment (highly desirable)
- Positive and confident with a resilient nature
- This is a physically demanding role in a dynamic, fast paced hospital environment - A high fitness level is a mandatory requirement
- Able to work autonomously, and also effectively as part of a team
- Flexible, reliable and the ability to prioritise while working under pressure
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to retain information
- Able to confidently deliver high levels of service, with a focus on patients' comfort and needs
- In line with the required legislation, a current National Police check, COVID Vaccinations, Working with Children (Blue Card), and evidence of immunity to a variety of vaccine preventable diseases will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position._
