**The opportunity**:
As a **Theatre Attendant**, you’ll work as part of our close-knit team in theatres to support with preparation before, during and after surgeries. You may be required to transfer patients, specimens, equipment or documents between a variety of departments including theatres, in patient wards and emergency. This is a physically demanding role in a dynamic, fast paced hospital environment.
We appreciate that not everyone has previous experience in a role like this, which is why we provide an in-depth, hands-on, paid training and induction to all new staff.
**Our team operate across Monday-Sunday between 7am-11:30pm and currently has both casual and full-time opportunities available.**
**Your day-to-day tasks could include**:
- Moving complex and valuable medical equipment
- Transportation of patients to and from wards before and after surgery
- Providing theatre assistance including the preparation of operating rooms before surgery
- Assisting with the transportation of equipment needed during surgery and after surgeries are completed, cleaning and preparing the theatre for the next surgery
- Infection Control and maintain occupational health and safety compliance
- General cleaning duties and restocking of supplies and equipment
**About you**:
- Displays a positive and resilient nature
- Ability work autonomously but also effectively as part of a team
- Flexible, reliable and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Ability to deliver high levels of service, with a focus on patients' comfort and needs
- In line with the required legislation, a current National Police check, COVID Vaccinations, Working with Children (Blue Card), and evidence of immunity to a variety of vaccine preventable diseases will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position._
