We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced* Assistant Fund Manager* to support and partner with the Fund Manager, ICPF. This autonomous role will see you execute fund strategy to achieve investment performance hurdles and objectives for our assets. You will be central point of contact for portfolio management of ICPF’s high quality assets, capable of identifying and anticipating possible risk areas and opportunities, you will be able to accurately measure potential problems and mitigate risks, you will have the ability to offer suitable solutions to internal stakeholders and Investors and satisfy their overall needs. You will also be responsible for governance and the financial monitoring and reporting. **Your role will be diverse, spanning across different areas, responsibilities include;** - Effective stakeholder management across the Investa business - Quarterly re-forecasting of key metrics including short-, medium - and long-term total return forecasts - asset and fund level and identifying opportunities for improvement. - Contribute to shareholder reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and assist in preparation and delivery at shareholder meetings - Attend and contribute to ICPF Board meetings and the annual strategy day, assisting in preparation and presentation of Board papers and Fund strategy - Collaboration within the business and contribution towards enhanced employee engagement - Co-ordinate and manage periodic asset re-valuations in accordance with Fund policy - Assist the Fund Manager with capital transactions (including due diligence processes for both acquisitions and divestments) - Assist in capital management of Fund and capital raising initiatives, and treasury management **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in property - Commerce-based degree (e.g. business, commerce) - Financial qualification desirable - Experience - Successfully held a similar position (for at least 3 years) in the real estate or financial services sector - Demonstrated experience in the property industry in investment or portfolio management - Experience in valuations and financial modelling **Skills** - Ability to make efficient decisions that align with strategic objectives of the fund - Be proactive, with an attention to detail and ability to multi-task - Autonomous working style for periods managing the portfolio (principally leasing and capex) and reporting requirements of the fund - Strategic thinking and longer-term planning in the context of a cyclical property industry - Strong business discipline ensuring tasks are completed properly and efficiently, with sound business judgement - Meeting reporting and other deadlines and balancing competing priorities - Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals at a variety of levels both internal and external to the organisation - High level of initiative **Knowledge** - Understanding of financial concepts (including debt and equity management) - Solid and demonstrated understanding of property fundamentals, preferably in commercial office markets - Detailed understanding of investment analysis and evaluation techniques - Detailed knowledge of property valuation - Understanding of the impact of non-property factors on property valuation, especially those relating to changes in capital markets - Understanding of leasing transaction process - Detailed knowledge of capital transactions and deal structuring - Feasibility analysis, and property development structures **Why join Investa?** - Recognised as: - AFR Boss Best Places to Work (Property, Construction, Transport sector) - First Place - 2021 - Australian HR Awards - Excellence Award: Best Workplace Flexibility Program - HRD - Employer of Choice 2021 - Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice for Gender Equality for 2021-23 - Australian Business Awards - Employer of Choice 2020 - Flexible work options available to all employees - Unique company culture and friendly work environment - Finalists in the 2020 Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation & Excellence Awards for Diversity (< 250 employees) reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusion - Investment in employee wellbeing, ca
